Five-star safety KJ Bolden of Buford (GA) High narrowed his 36 offer list down to 15 schools.

The 6-foot-1, 185 pounder is down to the following: Alabama, Clemson, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and USC.

“The recruiting process has been a dream,” Bolden said. “You always visualize being a top recruit or being able to choose what school you go to when you are 9/10 years old. Now, fast forward 5-6 years ahead and it’s like boom it’s a dream come true. I am very blessed and highly favored and give all glory to God for being with me every step of the way. It’s a dream come true! Never stop dreaming!”

KJ Bolden Scouting Summary

“One of the top overall athletes in the 2024 cycle early on,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Has a plus frame checking in at 6-foot, 185 pounds with a 6-foot-4 wing-span prior to his junior season. Has a personal best mark of 10.76 seconds in the 100 meters, showing outstanding high-end speed early on in his high school career. Also tests well in the combine setting. Plays both ways for Georgia powerhouse Buford High as a receiver and defensive back. Projects as a defensive back and likely at safety long-term, where his combination of athleticism and length makes him one of the nation’s best. Will need to improve his ball skills to be a top receiver prospect, but has the coordination to be well above average as a defensive back in that regard.”

Bolden ranks as the No. 4 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 1 safety and the No. 2 player in the state of Georgia.
