Here’s how those finalists compare to one another ahead of the trophy presentation:

Gabriel, the quarterback of the top-ranked and last remaining undefeated team in Oregon, will be in attendance at the ceremony in his sixth collegiate season but first in Eugene.

Gabriel has put up 73.2% completion, which was a career-high and the second-best in the sport this season, in passing for 3,558 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. That has the Ducks still without a loss after winning the Big Ten Championship ahead of being the top seed in the College Football Playoff.

Travis Hunter has been a sensation this season in the snaps that he has taken on both sides of the ball. He has caught 92 passes for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns as one of the leading receivers in all of college football. Then, defensively, he has had 32 tackles, 11 deflections, four interceptions, and a forced fumble at corner.

All of that has Hunter as a leading favorite to win The Heisman Trophy going into this weekend.

Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty

Jeanty has had one of the best rushing seasons of all time this fall as he has exceeded what he put up in his previous two seasons combined in Boise. He has run for 2,497 yards and 29 touchdowns on 344 carries, good for 192.1 per game and 7.3 a touch, as the nation’s leading rusher by over 800 yards as he’s just 131 yards shy of the single-season record of Barry Sanders.

Now, after that historic individual season while also leading the Broncos to the College Football Playoff after winning the Mountain West Championship, Jeanty is right there in contention as the winner of the Heisman.

Miami QB Cam Ward

Cam Ward may have had a better chance to win this award with what he was doing earlier on in the season. Still, Ward had one of the better years by a quarterback this fall in his lone one with The ‘U.

Ward, in leading the No. 1 scoring offense in college football at 44.2 ppg., had his career-best season in the FBS as he completed 67.4% of his passes for 4,123 yards, 36 touchdowns, which led the country, and seven interceptions. That helped the Hurricanes to their best season since 2003 – although still falling short of making the playoff in the end at 10-2.
