2024 Heisman Trophy: Voting revealed for spots 5-10 ahead of ceremony
The 2024 Heisman Trophy recipient will be revealed on Saturday — Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty and Miami’s Cam Ward are the four finalists vying for immortality.
Some believe it’s a two-man race between Hunter and Jeanty, but perhaps the quarterbacks could surprise in New York City. Regardless, there’s a bevy of players throughout college football that a myriad of pundits believe should’ve been called upon to join the aforementioned four finalists. From Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders to Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo, plenty throughout the sport would’ve been just as deserving.
With that in mind, the Heisman Trophy on X has taken to social media to reveal the voting for the rest of the top ten, sans the four finalists, of course. The aforementioned Skattebo leads the way. Check out the rest of the best below, as spots five through ten were unveiled.
2024 Heisman Trophy Top Ten
1-4. Heisman Finalists (Gabriel, Hunter, Jeanty, Ward)
5. RB Cam Skattebo, Arizona State
6. QB Bryson Daily, Army
7. TE Tyler Warren, Penn State
8. QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
9. QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
10. QB Kyle McCord, Syracuse
As you can tell, Skattebo and Sanders were rewarded for their tremendous seasons, as well as a group of other stars throughout college football. While there’s always a legion of quarterbacks adorning the list, Penn State’s Tyler Warren, a tight end who’s much more than the usual qualifications for his position, got up to No. 7 in the voting.

Elsewhere, Army’s Bryson Daily (No. 6), Indiana’s Kurtis Rourke (No. 9) and Syracuse’s Kyle McCord (No. 10) were more than deserving of being honored. It would’ve been fascinating if Daily was selected as a finalist, as he’ll be playing in Saturday’s Army–Navy game.
Meanwhile, Rourke is preparing for the College Football Playoff, leading Indiana as the underdog program that could shock the system, while McCord proved he was more than just a system quarterback in 2024, playing lights out at Syracuse after a middle-of-the-road season at Ohio State the year prior.
It remains to be seen what Nos. 1-4 look like, but there’s immense talent littered throughout the Top 10 in Heisman Trophy voting. You can tune in to ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET to see who takes home the honor in 2024 between Dillon Gabriel, Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty and Cam Ward.
