2024 point guards to keep an eye on
On3 will spend this week going by position to take a look at players to watch for in the 2024 class. We start with 2024 point guards. The 2022 class rankings have been updated and On3 is in the process of updating its 2023 class rankings, but what about the class of 2024?
Three to watch
6-0 Elliot Cadeau
Point guards need to be fearless, and 6-foot-1 Elliot Cadeau is fearless. The Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic point guard has a crafty handle with a quick first step that helps him create opportunities in the paint. He has a burst of explosion at the rim and can make shots from each level on the floor. Cadeau will be in the conversation as the top 2024 point guard.
Claimed Offers: Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, St. John’s, Providence, TCU, Seton Hall, etc.
6-2 Boogie Fland
While Fland has missed a majority of the past 12 months with injury, he has done enough in his career to let us know what kind of player he is. The White Plains (NY) Archbishop Stepinac sophomore plays with a flair on the court, showcasing the ability to score and create. He has a great pace and deep range on his jump shot. He plays best with the ball in his hands and can be aggressive in looking for his shot, but his skill set is advanced as he continues to add strength.

Claimed Offers: Providence, UConn, Illinois, Virginia Tech, UCLA, TCU, Seton Hall, Kansas State, St. John’s, Miami, Pitt, Maryland, etc.
6-2 Jase Richardson
There is a track record of success with the kids of former NBA players. Jase Richardson is the son of 14-year NBA wing Jason Richardson. The Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman lefty has a quick first step and a natural feel for the game. Richardson, who is not the explosive athlete his dad was, shows flashes of burst at the rim. His jump shot can be streaky, but the form looks good, and his confidence is off the charts.
Claimed Offers: Michigan State, Arizona State, Washington, UNLV, etc.
The wildcard
5-10 Christian Anderson, Jr. committed to Michigan
Anderson, Jr. is a quick-on-quick lead guard out of Atlanta (GA) Lovett School. He had a big summer playing with the Atlanta XPress 15u group with multiple 40-point outbursts. Anderson has deep range and plays with the utmost confidence. His father, Christian Anderson, Sr., is 6-foot-6 and played professionally overseas for over a decade. What makes Anderson, Jr. a wildcard is how much will he grow between now and graduation?
