Buford (Ga.) EDGE Eddrick Houston has been offered by close to 40 schools. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound four-star has taken numerous visits over the last year, he has established relationships with multiple coaching staff and he is ready to make his first cut.

“In no order, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Michigan State, LSU and Oklahoma are my top 10 schools,” Houston told On3. “These schools have been sticking with me and in constant communication. They are always checking on school, grades, family and that stands out to me.

“Then, based on my visits, the research I have done on schools and the combination of academics and athletics at these 10 schools, it made them stand out the most.”

Houston said it is still early though. The No. 19 prospect in the 2024 On3 Consensus does not plan to commit until his senior year. His list could still change and he is taking the process slowly.

“This is step one for me. I am going to take my time and still keep my options open. Visits are a priority for me and I still have not visited LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon or Texas on this list year.

“I will take more visits this season, then next year to see the different environments. Visits are a priority for me and they will be a big factor for me moving forward.

“I am looking for the school that fits me. It will come down to the defense I play in, how the players are treated and where I feel best. It is still pretty early for me.”
