2025 4-star CB Greg Thomas announces his Top 10 schools
Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star cornerback Gregory Thomas has over 20 offers. After receiving interest from some of the top programs in college football, he is ready to cut his list down.
Thomas has announced Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Wisconsin as his top 10 schools. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back revealed his finalists following a visit to the Seminoles last weekend.
“What makes these schools stand out are the relationships I have with the coaches,” Thomas told On3. “It is about how they are recruiting me too. When these schools offered, they didn’t just disappear. They stayed in contact and recruited me. The position coaches at these schools have shown that they can get players to the next level as well.”
While Florida State and Miami have hosted Thomas multiple times. He has yet to visit the other schools on his list. He is working on lining up visits in March and April to help him select the schools he will take official visits to.
Thomas is still thinking about when he would like to decide on his college destination. As a result, the No. 33 player in Florida is excited to see how the coming weeks of his recruitment play out.
“I have built some good relationships and now, I will go off relationships and coaching moving forward,” said Thomas, the No. 230 overall prospect and No. 26 cornerback in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “As I continue to take visits, I want to see who can help me develop and where I could get a chance to compete for playing time early.”
Thomas breaks down his favorites
Colorado: “What I like about Colorado is that they are definitely a program on the rise and will be at the top of college football soon. They have one of the greatest defensive backss ever as their head coach, and a great staff as well.”
Florida State: “With Florida State, it is about the relationships and the bonds that I have with the coaches. Florida State is the school I have visited the most, so I have good connections there. (Defensive backs) coach Patrick Surtain and I have a great relationship. I like the area too. It reminds me of where I live. I have good relationships with (head) coach (Mike) Norvell and (defensive coordinator Adam) Fuller too.
LSU: “LSU has made some changes with its staff and I love how they got (defensive backs) coach Corey Raymond back. When they won the national title a few years ago, he was coaching the defensive backs. LSU is a program on the rise.”
