2025 4-star LB Keylan Moses announces top eight schools

After compiling 17 Power 5 offers, Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab four-star linebacker Keylan Moses is ready to narrow his list of top schools. On Friday, he announced his top eight.
Making the cut for the 6-foot-1.5, 215-pounder is Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas.
Moses is the No. 157 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 15 LB and No. 3 player from Louisiana.
Tigers are the favorite for Keylan Moses
Moses is right in LSU’s backyard, making it no surprise that the Tigers are the current favorite to land the linebacker’s commitment, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). LSU currently has a 96% chance to earn Moses’ pledge, while no other program currently sits above 1%.
Moses has taken five visits to see Brian Kelly and the Tigers, with the most recent trip coming on June 7. Defensive coordinator Matt House and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan have led LSU’s recruitment.
“Coach Frank, he’s basically my uncle at this point in time,” Moses told The Bengal Tiger in June. “I kick it with him, and then it’s Coach Sloan. That’s my guy.”
LSU’s recruitment of the four-star runs deep, as his first unofficial visit came back in June 2021. The long-term relationship gives the Tigers an edge against the competition.

“Honestly it feels good knowing that LSU looks at me as the leader of the 2025 class,” Moses said. “Considering I’ve been there since maybe I was 6, I’ve built a lot of relationships and some have become more like family, if anything.”
“I just know they’re coming real hard for me, whether it’s getting me up there to hang out or get some pointers, they’re gunning for me to be by their side all the time.”
Texas A&M, Florida and Oregon are the other programs that have gotten Moses on campus twice. His most recent trip was to Eugene on July 29. Alabama, Texas and Florida State have all welcomed Moses for one unofficial visit. He is yet to take any officials.
Connections have Oregon high on short list
While LSU may seem like the clear favorite, Oregon is on the Tigers’ heels. A connection to Moses’ family has the Ducks “high on his short list,” as Oregon defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi was on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ staff while Moses’ brother, Dylan, played for the Jags.
“I’ve been knowing coach Tosh (Lupoi) since I was a middle schooler,” Moses told ScoopDuck after his latest visit. Ever since he coached my brother (Dylan) he’s been sort of a family factor to me and my family. And it’s been all love ever since. Meeting with Coach Brian (Michalowski) and Coach Kam (Kamran Araghi) was great also. I learned a lot from them and the energy they brought towards me and my family is exactly what I’m looking for in a school. Talking to Coach Rashaad (Wadood) and Antonio (Parks) was great also really just being around them two was a real nice vibe.”
