Derby (Kan.) 2025 four-star tight end Dasaahn Brame has collected more than 30 offers by the end of his junior year, and he’s ready to take the next step in his recruitment.

After visiting a handful of programs over the summer and taking in a few more game day visits this fall, Brame is focused on eight schools going forward. Among those are: Oregon, Tennessee, Alabama Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan, Texas A&M, and Kansas State.

“These schools are on top because of the relationships and the coaches,” he told On3. “I have visited five of the schools and I love the campuses. The relationships are big for me because I want to feel at home where I go. All eight schools reach out to me every day, and they all make me feel important and like a priority.”

Florida, Michigan, Texas A&M and Alabama are the schools he has yet to visit, but is hoping to get to at least a few of them in January. He has made strong connections with the coaching staffs there though, and that’s why they’ve made the list.

“It is hard to focus on schools with 30 offers,” he added. “I was ready to narrow it down, focus on these and I plan to commit in mid-summer. It should happen during the dead period in July. I am now working to get to the finish line. I will keep going out, taking visits, talk to the players and find the best school for me.”

ALABAMA: “It is a winning program, and that is big for me. I want to go where I can win. And Coach Joe Cox is a great guy; we stay in contact and I can’t wait to visit.”

FLORIDA: “Former Derby tight end DeAndre Goolsby went to Florida and he loved it. They have a great environment and I want to see the Swamp.”

KANSAS STATE: “I have been there 4-5 times and have made the most visits there. My parents went there and played sports there, so I grew up a fan. They have Avery Johnson, and he is a dude.”

MICHIGAN: “Michigan uses their tight ends a lot — maybe the most in college football. There is a great opportunity to play there. Sherrone Moore is a Derby alumni, so that is cool and he knows a lot about where I am from.”

OKLAHOMA: “I have visited Oklahoma 3-4 times, and Coach Joe Jon Finley is one of the best. I like his personality and he is a great dude. Coach Venables recruited my dad too when he was at K-State, and I think the Oklahoma program is on the rise with him.”

OREGON: “Coach Lanning and Coach Mehringer are great guys. They are in 12 personal a lot. They run 13 sometimes, too. On my visit, I hung out some with Kenyon Sadiq, a freshman, and he is a great dude. I got some good feedback from him.”

TENNESSEE: “It is about the environment at Tennessee. I was there for the A&M game and it was wild. It is a crazy place and super loud. The staff is great, too. My dad played against Coach Heupel in college, and he is a great coach.”

TEXAS A&M: ”I’m really liking because of Coach Klein, as well as College Station. I feel like they will have a great year next year.”
