Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep four-star 2025 tight end Logan Brooking is ready for the next phase of his recruitment.

After totaling more than 25 offers midway through his junior season, Brooking is down to eight schools: Clemson, Florida, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, South Carolina and Stanford.

“The reason those schools made the list is because those schools have shown the most interest,” he told On3. “Each has what I am looking for in a school, too. All are known for having success with tight ends and all offer great education. I have great relationships with coaches at school too. These eight kind of fit my criteria for what I am looking for.”

Brooking has visited each of those eight, save for visited all except for Michigan and North Carolina. Clemson, Miami, Penn State and Stanford have all hosted him this season, and he’s looking to get to Ann Arbor and Chapel Hill soon.

“The communication with both has been strong,” he said. “I have not visited, but I know enough about them to feel good about the schools. Michigan has had a ton of success with tight ends and they are known for having two tight ends on the field, so that draws me to them. I have a good relationship with Coach Freddie Kitchens and he has coached in the NFL, so that helped North Carolina even though I haven’t been up there yet.”

Brooking getting closer to a decision

He doesn’t have another cutdown date in mind or a decision in the works, but Brooking feels like this is the next step he needed to take. Now he can focus his attention on a smaller number of schools and find the right fit for him on and off the field.

“These are the schools I am really focused on and now accepting calls from moving forward,” he added. “I have fallen in love with the schools on this list and I am completely focused on them. I am getting closer to a decision.”

Brooking thinks he might be done with gameday visits, and a commitment could come at any time.

“Honestly, it will just be about that gut feeling,” he said. “I have taken a lot of visits, I have some good relationships and I just have to pray about it. I have seen everywhere and I have a feeling for all of these schools, so I just have to do some real thinking and praying about it.”
