The top three teams and bottom three teams have already separated themselves from the rest of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Still, as far as seeding goes from one through 15, there’s much to sort out in the standings for the 2025 ACC Tournament.

On Wednesday, two teams still in contention for the No. 1 seed won to remain in the race with Louisville winning 85-68 over California and Clemson winning 78-69 at Boston College. NC State and Notre Dame also caught better teams on their home floors with the Wolfpack winning 71-63 over Pittsburgh and the Fighting Irish winning 56-54 over Stanford.

With that, Louisville (17-2) and Clemson (17-2) are still in contention for the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament. It would require a loss by Duke (18-1) in Chapel Hill on Saturday but, for either to do so at all, the Cardinals will have to beat Stanford and the Tigers will have to beat Virginia Tech earlier in the day. For reference, the Blue Devils beat Louisville in December but lost to Clemson in February. The Cardinals also beat the Tigers in January.

There also leaves a lot left to determine from No. 4 through No. 15. North Carolina and SMU are tied for the No. 4 seed, the final spot for the double-byes, with the Tar Heels’ rivalry finale against Duke and the Mustangs’ game against Florida State being what potentially separates them after Saturday. As for the single byes on Thursday, Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech also has importance.

From there, No. 9 through No. 15 is very tight with all seven teams separated by no more than two games. We saw that already last night with the wins for NC State and Notre Dame causing Pittsburgh to fall two spots to the No. 13. As for games this weekend, Virginia Tech and Virginia are notable to see which of them gets that final bye with the ‘Hokies playing at Clemson and the Cavaliers playing at Syracuse. California vs. Notre Dame is also noteworthy as two teams that could change that current look for the first round of the tournament on Tuesday.

What does it look like for now? Here’s how the 2025 ACC Tournament presently projects per the odds at PlayoffStatus.com. (NC State, Boston College, Miami are all eliminated for the conference tournament in Charlotte)
