Long Beach (Calif.) Long Beach Poly 2025 athlete Jadyn Robinson has some strong competition right in the confines of his home.

His older brother, Jason Robinson, is an On3 Consensus four-star. The elder Robinson brother is a wide receiver already committed to USC.

The younger Robinson is beginning to see his own recruitment taking shape. He picked up an offer from Georgia Southern recently. Alabama State and Colorado State have both extended early offers to Robinson.

Robinson hopes more are in the works. His dream schools are USC and Oregon.

“USC is my home,” Robinson told On3. “I know a lot of the coaches and that they can develop me very well. Oregon is also a dream school. I’d be out of my comfort zone. Out there, there isn’t much to get me distracted outside of football. Oregon takes football very seriously. I know a few coaches over there. I know they can develop my game as well.”

He will be able to play alongside his brother for a full season in 2022.

Robinson has learned a lot from watching his brother. The importance of relationships and respect have been things that have passed between the two.

“I’ve learned to always be respectful to everybody,” Robinson said. “You never know who they’ll turn into whether it’s players, coaches, or people around you. You have to have a good spirit. I feel like has a lot to bring for me. I’m going to keep working and never stop working.”

Jadyn Robinson gives himself a taste of the elite competition

Robinson made a short trip to catch some passes at the Elite 11 Finals last month. He got some positive feedback throughout the weekend and also spent some time watching the older wide receivers in attendance.

Robinson admits it was an invaluable learning experience.

“It was a great experience,” Robinson said. “I had a great time seeing the great quarterbacks, receivers, defensive backs and all-around great athletes all around. I had a few reporters tell me I did good but I think there’s stuff I could have done better…When I was off a rep, I saw a lot of the older guys going. I watched how they got in and out of their routes and how their releases are. I learned a lot.”

Robinson has high expectations of himself in 2022.

“I’m looking forward to going for over 1,000 yards this year,” Robinson said. “I feel like I have a lot to show and an opportunity to show everybody what I can do.”
