2025 Big 12 Basketball Tournament Projection: Bracket, schedule for field if season ended today - March 6

March is now in full swing and while the regular season will still be going on through the weekend, the Big 12 Basketball Tournament is just around the corner. So, it’s worth taking the time to look at how the Big 12 Tournament currently breaks down.
There were another three Big 12 conference games on Wednesday night. The majority of those games were between the teams who likely won’t be able to earn a bye at this point in the season as they continue to jockey for position. That was also notably the last time Big 12 teams are going to be in action until everyone is back on the hardwood on Saturday for their final regular season games.

While there might only be one regular season game left for everyone in the Big 12, nothing has been decided just yet. So, here’s a look at the projection and schedule for the Big 12 tournament and what the bracket would look like if the season ended today, March 6.
Big 12 Tournament Projected Bracket and Schedule
There will be four teams earning a double bye in the Big 12 Tournament, another four who earn a bye, and then the remaining eight teams are going to have to begin their tournament run in the first round. While there is still plenty of room for movement, there are five teams locked into their current seeding. Houston is going to be the one-seed. Then, Colorado and Arizona State are going to be the 16th and 15th seeds at the bottom of the bracket. BYU and Iowa State are also now locked into the fourth and fifth seeds respectively, which is important because it locks the Cougars into the double bye over the Cyclones.
