2025 CB Jordyn Woods flips his commitment from Cincinnati Bearcats to Ohio State Buckeyes
Cartersville (Ga.) three-star cornerback Jordyn Woods will stay in the Buckeye State. He has flipped his commitment from Cincinnati to Ohio State.
Woods had been committed to the Bearcats since June 25. He officially visited Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ win over No. 5 Indiana. It was his second visit to Columbus this fall.
“Being able to play in an atmosphere like Ohio State in the Big Ten is unmatched,” Woods has said in the past.
Woods is the nation’s No. 59 cornerback in the On3 Ranking and the 26th prospect to join Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class. The Buckeyes currently hold the nation’s No. 3 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Ohio State adds Woods to a loaded defensive secondary group in this cycle. Houston North Shore Five-Star Plus+ corner Devin Sanchez has been committed to the Buckeyes since Jan. 6. Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord is also pledged to OSU, but has received multiple expert predictions favoring him to flip to Auburn.
A trio of safeties join Sanchez, Offord and Woods in the secondary. Four-star Faheem Delane is No. 5 at the position and the No. 61 recruit in the nation. Four-star DeShawn Stewart comes by way of DePaul Catholic in New Jersey, whereas Cody Haddad is an in-state addition from Cleveland St. Ignatius.
