Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, announces six-team field for 2025 College Showdown
The field for the 2025 College Showdown has been released. The Arizona, Clemson, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Texas baseball programs will kick off next season at Globe Life Field, which is the home of the Texas Rangers.
The announcement for the 2025 College Showdown was sent out on Friday. Of those six teams, Arizona, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Texas are all currently ranked in the top 25.
Louisville and Ole Miss also have excellent college baseball programs, meaning that there will be a ton of talent at Globe Life Field next February.
The 2025 College Showdown will take place from Feb. 14-16 of 2025.
In addition to the six teams that will be at Globe Life Field for the College Showdown for opening weekend, the College Baseball Series benefiting Shriners Children’s will take place the following two weekends.
Weekend 2 will have Arkansas, Georgia, TCU and Michigan in town from Feb. 21-23, while Weekend 3 will have Auburn, Baylor, Ohio State and Oregon State playing games from Feb. 28-March 2.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of being a key stop on the college baseball calendar,” said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment. “Along with Shriners Children’s, we are excited to host new and returning teams at our world-class venue, and look forward to delivering an exciting experience for the schools and their passionate fans.”
According to the release, “Shriners Children’s will benefit from a portion of every ticket sold from all three weekends. All nine games of the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown will be streamed live by FloSports.”

“We’re thrilled to have many of the nation’s premier college baseball teams take the field in support of our life-changing cause,” said Dustin Johnson, national director of sports for Shriners Children’s. “More than 100,000 fans will join us to help our health care system change and improve lives through high-quality specialty medical care.”
As for the 2024 season, Arizona is currently 32-19 (19-9). The Wildcats are wrapping up the regular season this weekend against Oregon State. The Beavers earned a 9-2 win Thursday night in Game 1.
Clemson sits at 38-13 (18-10) after beating Boston College 12-10 in Game 1 on Thursday.
Louisville has a record of 31-22 (15-14). The Cardinals won both games of a doubleheader against Notre Dame on Thursday.
Oklahoma State is an impressive 34-16 (17-9). The Cowboys will play Game 1 of their series against Houston on Friday.
Ole Miss is having a down year at 27-27 (11-17), while Texas has a 33-20 (18-10) record.
