2025 in-state breakdown: Armondo Blount, DJ Pickett headline top Florida prospects

Year in and year out Florida has some of the top high school football players in the country and the same can be said for the Class of 2025. On3 released its 2025 On300 on Monday and the state had 42 players make the list.

Of the 42 players from Florida that made it, 32 were ranked as four-star prospects.

Here’s a look at those 32 and an early glance at where their recruitment stands.

DL Armondo Blount

School: Miami Central
On3 Ranking: No. 7
On3 RPM: Florida 34.5%, Miami 22.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $127K
The Skinny: Armondo Blount‘s been recruited heavily by the top schools in the Sunshine State. He’s only visited Florida, Florida State and Miami up to this point in his recruitment but Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State are a few other schools he’s said that he’d like to visit soon.

S DJ Pickett

School: Zephyrhills
On3 Ranking: No. 9
On3 RPM: Florida State 17.6%, Michigan 15.4%, Florida 9%, Ohio State 7.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $120K
The Skinny: DJ Pickett started picking up offers before he played a down of high school football and has visited over 10 schools already. An out-of-state school to keep an eye on in Pickett’s recruitment is Michigan as he’s visited Ann Arbor multiple times, likes the coaches, has family an hour away from campus and his mother went there.

QB Carter Smith

School: Bishop Verot
On3 Ranking: No. 14
On3 RPM: Florida 79.6%
On3 NIL Valuation: $165K
The Skinny: Carter Smith doubles as one of the top 2025 baseball recruits in Florida. When it comes to football, he noted that Florida State, LSU and Ole Miss are the ‘big three’ in his recruitment right now and have been in contact with him the most. His upcoming visits include Florida State’s and Florida’s spring games.

WR Jaime Ffrench

School: Mandarin
On3 Ranking: No. 15
On3 RPM: Florida State 20.9%, LSU 12.4%, Ohio State 10.6%, Texas A&M 8.9%
On3 NIL Valuation: $91K
The Skinny: Jaime Ffrench told On3’s Chad Simmons in February that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Pittsburgh were the four schools leading the way in his recruitment. Since then he’s taken visits to Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and Penn State and will take a visit to Clemson on April 1.

RB Donovan Johnson

School: IMG Academy
On3 Ranking: No. 19
On3 RPM: Georgia 29.2%, Florida State 25.5%, South Carolina 11.5%, Ohio State 9.5%, LSU 9.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $61K
The Skinny: Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State are three schools who have started to build a relationship with Donovan Johnson early in his recruitment. He’s visited Georgia and Florida State twice already but has not been to either campus yet in 2023.

EDGE Javion Hilson

School: Eau Gallie
On3 Ranking: No. 22
On3 RPM: UCF 19.5%, FAU 17.1%, Tennessee 14.6%, Western Kentucky 12.2%, Marshall 12.2%, Pittsburgh 12.2%, Rutgers 12.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $11.5K
The Skinny: Javion Hilson is an up-and-coming prospect in the 2025 class with Power Five offers from Florida State, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Tennessee. He’s taken visits to Pittsburgh and UCF so far this year.

DL Myron Charles

School: Port Charlotte
On3 Ranking: No. 28
On3 RPM: Florida 81.6%
On3 NIL Valuation: $58K
The Skinny: Myron Charles received an offer from Alabama in December and has picked up offers from Auburn, Colorado, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee since then.

OT Solomon Thomas

School: Raines
On3 Ranking: No. 35
On3 RPM: Florida 63.2%, Florida State 28.9%
On3 NIL Valuation: N/A
The Skinny: Solomon Thomas is closing in on 20 offers and has several of the nation’s top programs entering his recruitment. He was also recently named the OL MVP at the Under Armour Next+ All-America Camp in Orlando. Some schools standing out to him now include Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Rutgers and Tennessee

DL Jalen Wiggins

School: James Rickards
On3 Ranking: No. 36
On3 RPM: Florida 45.3%, Florida A&M 20.8%, UCF 17.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $8.8K
The Skinny: Jalen Wiggins visited Florida on March 11 and left that visit with an offer from the Gators. He told Gator Online’s Corey Bender that, “This offer is very big for me, as it’s one of my top schools in general.” The visit to campus was his first since he attended Florida’s blow out win over Eastern Washington.

WR Donovan Olugbode

School: IMG Academy
On3 Ranking: No. 42
On3 RPM: Iowa 38.1%, Missouri 33.3%, Nebraska 28.6%
On3 NIL Valuation: $49K
The Skinny: Donovan Olugbode is one of the fastest rising sophomores in the country and is planning future visits to Georgia and Tennessee. On3’s Sam Spiegelman reported that he’s also building strong foundations with Florida and Notre Dame as well.

S Dallas Golden

School: Berkeley Prep
On3 Ranking: No. 59
On3 RPM: Florida State 79.3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $13.7K
The Skinny: Dallas Golden‘s taken a pair of visits to Florida State so far with the last coming on Jan. 28. Notre Dame has also re-entered the race for Golden’s commitment as they re-offered him on March 17.

WR Naeshaun Montgomery

School: Cardinal Newman
On3 Ranking: No. 71
On3 RPM: Miami 50%, LSU 22.9%, Penn State 19.6%
On3 NIL Valuation: $15.1K
The Skinny: An emerging standout on the 7-on-7 circuit, Naeshaun Montgomery noted that Florida State, LSU, Miami and Penn State are a few schools standing out to him. Florida State, LSU and Miami all received visits from Montgomery in March and he’ll visit Penn State on April 18.

S Tony Williams

School: Palm Beach Central

On3 RPM: N/A
On3 NIL Valuation: $12.4K
The Skinny: Tony Williams is a name to keep an eye on going forward. He holds eight offers currently including Penn State, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.

WR Winston Watkins Jr.

School: IMG Academy
On3 Ranking: No. 92
On3 NIL Valuation: $111K
The Skinny: A former Texas A&M commitment, Winston Watkins decommitted from the Aggies on Nov. 18. Just over two weeks later he committed to Colorado and became Deion Sanders’ first 2025 commitment.

IOL Max Buchanan

School: Seminole
On3 Ranking: No. 93
On3 RPM: Florida State 37.5%, UCF 22.2%, USF 10%
On3 NIL Valuation: $8.6K
The Skinny: Max Buchanan hasn’t taken any visits in the new year yet but he has taken several visits already. In 2022 he visited seven different schools with Florida State hosting him more than any other school.

WR Dallas Wilson

School: Tampa Bay Tech
On3 Ranking: No. 105
On3 NIL Valuation: $16K
The Skinny: Dallas Wilson is Oregon’s only 2025 commitment so far. He announced his commitment to the Ducks on Jan. 17 just a few hours after he picked up an offer from Oregon. Prior to that commitment, Wilson had offers from Alabama, Georgia and Penn State.

School: Mandarin
On3 Ranking: No. 109
On3 RPM: Florida 39%, Florida State 17.9%, Tennessee 15.3%, Virginia Tech 12.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $52K
The Skinny: Hylton Stubbs announced his four favorites of Florida State, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Michigan back on Feb. 16 but since picking up offers from Florida and USC, those two have also entered the conversation. Stubbs has an older brother that plays at Florida State and another who plays at Florida A&M.

RB Deandre Desinor

School: North Broward Prep
On3 Ranking: No. 112
On3 RPM: Florida State 53.3%, Maryland 46.7%
On3 NIL Valuation: $57K
The Skinny: FIU extended Deandre Desinor his first Division I offer last February. He’s picked up 13 more offers since then and in 2023 Louisville, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Texas A&M are the four Power Five programs he picked up offers from.

EDGE Amaree Williams

School: The Benjamin School
On3 Ranking: No. 124
On3 RPM: Miami 24.7%, Florida 21.6%, Georgia 18.5%, Kentucky 15.4%

The Skinny: Amaree Williams has visited Miami several times and has the Hurricanes high on his list but Florida is right in the mix following his visit to campus in January. Georgia and Tennessee also saw visits from Williams in March.

CB Ben Hanks

School: Booker T. Washington
On3 Ranking: No. 125
On3 RPM: Miami 76%
On3 NIL Valuation: $42K
The Skinny: Miami offered Ben Hanks last September and he’s visited campus three times since that offer. He last visited Miami on March 21 where he toured the campus and attended a practice.

CB Ivan Taylor

School: West Orange
On3 Ranking: No. 126
On3 RPM: South Carolina 30.8%, Ole Miss 26.9%, Pittsburgh 23.1%, Michigan 19.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $34K
The Skinny: Ivan Taylor is the son of former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback and two-time Super Bowl champion Ike Taylor. Ivan noted schools like Florida State, Florida, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and USC as a few programs that are standing out to him early in his recruitment.

WR Cortez Mills

School: Homestead
On3 Ranking: No. 129
On3 RPM: Miami 46.5%, Florida State 21.3%, Texas A&M 18.3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $49K
The Skinny: Cortez Mills visited Miami on March 7 and Texas A&M on March 24. “It was great and like a dream come true getting an offer from my hometown,” Mills said following the Miami visit. “Mario Cristobal offered me and he’s a cool guy. I feel like he could do a lot for Miami; he’s going to make a change and a difference.”

LB Ethan Pritchard

School: Seminole
On3 Ranking: No. 131
On3 RPM: Florida 47.1%, UCF 27.9%, Minnesota 12.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $31K
The Skinny: Ethan Pritchard has met with the Gators coaching staff multiple times and he’s visited campus already three times. He last visited Gainesville in January and told Corey Bender that the Gators are No. 1 on his list.

CB Chris Ewald

School: Chaminade-Madonna Prep
On3 Ranking: No. 134
On3 NIL Valuation: $60K
The Skinny: Chris Ewald announced his commitment to Michigan on Dec. 16 picking the Wolverines over Miami and Penn State. “I feel like I have a great connection with coach Grant (Newsome) and coach (Jim) Harbaugh,” Ewald told Chad Simmons at the time.

LB Tarvos Alford

School: John Carroll
On3 Ranking: No. 136
On3 RPM: Florida 51.3%, South Carolina 18.5%
On3 NIL Valuation: $39K
The Skinny: Tarvos Alford is a priority target for Florida and is set to return to Gainesville this weekend. That visit will be the sixth for Alford since last summer and his first since January. A lifelong Florida fan, Alford said that the offer from Florida was a “high-emotion offer”.

RB Taevion Swint

School: Osceola
On3 Ranking: No. 139
On3 RPM: Florida 45.3%, Miami 20.8%, Texas 17.8%
On3 NIL Valuation: $46K
The Skinny: While several 2025 recruits are far from announcing their top schools, Taevion Swint isn’t in that group. Swint announced his top 8 of Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas and UCF on March. He previously told Chad Simmons that, “All four in-state schools are high on my list. Location will be a factor for me. I want to stay home and go to college somewhere in my home state. I see myself at Florida, Florida State, Miami or UCF when I make my decision.”

WR Hardley Gilmore

School: Pahokee
On3 Ranking: No. 141
On3 RPM: Florida 35.8%, Georgia 31.3%
On3 NIL Valuation: $47K
The Skinny: Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas A&M are a few of the schools that Hardley Gilmore told On3’s Jeremy Johnson are standing out to him early on. Gilmore visited Georgia on March 11 and noted that he hopes to visit the other four soon.

OT Caleb Harris

School: St. Thomas Aquinas
On3 Ranking: No. 149
On3 RPM: UCF 22.2%, Tennessee 19.4%, Kentucky 16.7%, West Virginia 13.9%, Pittsburgh 13.9%, Boston College 13.9%

The Skinny: Caleb Harris picked up his first offer from Pittsburgh on Dec. 7. Since then he’s picked up offers from Kentucky, Boston College, West Virginia, UCF and Tennessee.

WR Koby Howard

School: Pensacola Catholic

On3 RPM: Florida State 21%, Florida 18.4%, Tennessee 11.9%, Miami 9.9%

The Skinny: Koby Howard already holds 25 offers and has visited several of the nation’s top programs multiple times. He told Chad Simmons in early March that Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Miami and Tennessee are some of the schools currently standing out to him.

The Skinny: Amari Wallace held multiple Power Five offers before his sophomore year began and has only seen that list grow since the end of the season. This year alone he’s already picked up offers from Maryland, UCF, Oklahoma, Penn State and Michigan State amongst others.

RB Waltez Clark

School: Plant
On3 Ranking: No. 178
On3 RPM: USF 10.5%, UCF 9.2%, FAU 7.9%

The Skinny: Waltez Clark‘s recruitment started last April with an offer from Toledo and he’s seen his list of offers steadily grow. In 2023 he’s picked up offers from Western Kentucky, UCF, Boston College, Oregon State, Arkansas, Florida State, Syracuse, Michigan, Florida, Penn State, Indiana, Miami and Auburn so far.

QB Austin Simmons

School: Pahokee
On3 Ranking: No. 182
On3 RPM: Florida 95.2%
On3 NIL Valuation: $103K
The Skinny: Florida’s currently the run-away favorite to land a commitment from Austin Simmons as he took a pair of visits to Gainesville in March. The Gators offered Simmons following his first visit on March 11 and he was back on campus less than two weeks later.
