West Practice: 11-on-11 standouts

SMU OT signee Dramodd Odoms has been manhandling people in team period and RB signee Dramekco Green explodes for two big runs.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

“Texas CB signee Kade Phillips picks off Noah Grubbs on a vertical route to Kaliq Lockett. The On3 5-star undercut the route and high pointed the football.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

West Practice: Impressive group of WRs

01/07/2025 02:33:56 PM

“Out at West practice, mostly still doing positional work this afternoon. And the WRs are jumping out. Jalen Cooper (SMU), Kaliq Lockett (Texas) and Daylan McCutcheon (Texas) stand out. Smooth, easy pass catchers. 2026 Jordan Clay has been quite impressive. Big body, smooth and twitchy athlete. Great combination of physical and athletic ability at the receiver position.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

“Cooper looks the most explosive of the west WRs today as they install the offense. He stuck with SMU despite a late push from ND.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

East Practice: Updates from 11-on-11 portion

01/07/2025 02:25:35 PM

“Minnesota WR signee Bradley Martino with a really nice over-the-shoulder grab with Georgia Tech’s Dalen Penson in tight coverage on a vertical route. Ohio State five-star WR signee Quincy Porter comes down with a high-point grab downfield with Penson in coverage. Porter has looked very good in practice thus far.

Notre Dame OT signee Will Black was showing some very nice improvement at RT after settling in. He moved to LT during part of this team period and looks great at his natural spot. Very good movement skills and flexibility.

Duke LB signee Bradley Gompers showing good play speed, closing quickly against an outside run.

Cortez Mills gets behind J’Zavien Currence for a long completion on a deep post.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

West Practice: LSU with a pair of first-team linebackers

01/07/2025 02:16:48 PM

“In positional drills, LSU’s Zach Weeks at Mike LB with fellow Tigers signee Charles Ross and Noah Mikhail (Texas A&M) to his sides. Looks like first LB group. Uncommitted four-star McKay Madsen and Nebraska signee Christian Jones in the second group.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

01/07/2025 02:16:15 PM

Florida safety signee Hylton Stubbs stops Ole Miss RB signee Shekai Mills-Knight in run defense. Wisconsin commit Nicolas Clayton gets in the backfield off of an apparent stunt.

The East team has moved into full 11-on-11. Memphis QB signee Antwann Hill Jr. has good time, but can’t find anyone open downfield. Clemson DL signee Amare Adams eventually gets past Penn State’s Malachi Goodman for the sack.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

East Practice: Early standouts from session 2

“Some big plays early on in this session from: Georgia Tech CB signee Dalen Penson; Florida CB signee Ben Hanks III; Florida State DL signee Kevin Wynn; Ohio State WR signee Quincy Porter; and Nebraska WR signee Cortez Mills Jr.

Porter continues to flash his ability as a route-runner and a physical specimen. His length is a tough cover for any of these defensive backs.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

West Practice: Teams going through install

01/07/2025 01:48:26 PM

“Georgia Tech QB signee Grady Adamson is QB1 for the West team as they begin offensive install. Houston QB commit Keisean Henderson took second-team snaps and Notre Dame 2026 commit Noah Grubbs was QB3.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

After a 90-minute break, players are returning to the field at practice for both the East and West teams. East squad is starting with 1v1s to begin with.

“2026 DL Bryce Perry-Wright makes a play off the edge in inside run. In the passing game, Florida CB signee Ben Hanks III with great coverage on Ole Miss’ Winston Watkins. He jumped the pass and nearly picked it off, but the ball went through his hands and Watkins caught it. 2026 standout wide receiver Devin Carter wins against Florida safety signee Hylton Stubbs on an in-breaking route. Auburn safety signee Eric Winters with good coverage on a vertical route by Texas’ Jaime Ffrench.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

Breaking down standouts from West practice

01/07/2025 12:06:23 PM

“Morning session on Day 1 of practice here at the Navy All-American Bowl is a lot of feeling out body types and physical builds for a lot of the prospects. For me here at West practice, I was extremely impressed with the physical specimens walking around out here. The offensive line and defensive line groups are loaded. And during the 1-on-1 period players like EDGE Christopher Burgess (Notre Dame), EDGE Marco Jones (Texas A&M), DL Valdin Sone (2026), EDGE Hayden Lowe (Miami) and DL Nathaniel Marshall (Michigan) had great reps along the defensive front. While OT Lamont Rogers (Texas A&M), OT Dramodd Odoms (SMU), OT Ryan Fodje (Oklahoma) and IOL Keiton Jones (Missouri_ all had wins during that period as well.

Excited to watch more of the skill group as we head into the second half of the day. Should see a lot of action during the team period portions of practice coming out of the break.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

East Practice: First session complete

01/07/2025 11:52:02 AM

“The first part of East practice is complete, and they’ll break for about 90 minutes for lunch. A few early standouts include NC State OL signee Isaac Sowells, who had back-to-back wins against Auburn DL signee Malik Autry. Showed a great anchor, good length and stopped two spin move attempts. Florida State DL signee Kevin Wynn showed off his pure power and a good first step with several easy wins. There was a good best-on-best matchup between Penn State OL signee Malachi Goodman and Clemson DL signee Amare Adams. They split reps. Notre Dame five-star offensive tackle signee Will Black showed good athleticism working at right tackle, which he’s never played before. So there’s a bit of a learning curve, but he looks very good moving around. The most athletic offensive lineman on the East team.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

“Isaac Sowells is a future pro. Tremendous features, length, plus movement, leadership qualities, great get for NC State. He is as good a center prospect as there is in the class.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

East Practice: Team taking in 7v7 reps

01/07/2025 11:51:40 AM

Some light 7v7 at East practice. WR Devin Carter (2026) gets behind SAF J’Zavien Currence (South Carolina commit) for a deep ball. Nice throw from QB Bowe Bentley to WR Winston Watkins (Ole Miss) on an out route. Carter with two more catches down the seam — both from Memphis QB signee Antwann Hill. USC LB commit Xavier Griffin gets a nice pick off Bowe Bentley.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

West practice complete, set to resume in 90 minutes

01/07/2025 11:32:23 AM

“The west team has finished up its morning session with some special teams work. Players will return to the field in about 90 minutes after a lunch break.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

West Practice: Notable standouts in OL/DL 1v1s

01/07/2025 11:16:26 AM

“DL Marco Jones (Texas A&M) and OT Lamont Rogers (Texas A&M) with strong showings during 1-on-1’s. EDGE Hayden Lowe (Miami) and EDGE Christopher Burgess (Notre Dame) looked great and won their reps in 1-on-1s as well. DL Nate Marshall (Michigan) hit a nice spin to beat OT Ryan Fodje (Oklahoma) in their rep. SMU signee OT Dramodd Odoms was dominant in his rep as well. Fodje bounced back nicely and won his 2nd rep in 1-on-1s.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

East Practice: Kansas State signee among early standouts

01/07/2025 11:01:48 AM

“Kansas State TE signee Linkon Cure is explosive going through warmups. One of the top athletes in the cycle, regardless of position. 2026 QB Bowe Bentley looks the best throwing in air of the East quarterbacks. Quick release and good velocity/accuracy. Five-star Ohio State WR signee Quincy Porter has impressed with his ball skills in routes on air. Strong hands and good technique in framing the ball a the catch point. … Minnesota signee Bradley Martino is another who has caught my eye in routes on air. He’s on the roster as a DB but is working with the WR group.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

West Practice: Impressive group of defensive linemen

01/07/2025 10:19:21 AM

“The defensive line group on the west squad is loaded as well. Christopher Burgess (Notre Dame), Marco Jones (Texas A&M), Hayden Lowe (Miami), Jamarion Carlton (2026) and Nate Marshall (Michigan) look great off the hoof. Charles Ross (LSU) and Christian Jones (Nebraska) standout physically amongst the linebackers. Kiotti Armstrong (Texas A&M) and Kaleb Edwards (Alabama) look excellent at the tight end position.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

East Practice: No sign of David Sanders Jr. — yet

01/07/2025 10:16:56 AM

“Haven’t spotted Five-Star Plus+ Tennessee OT signee David Sanders out here yet. Some players could be having travel issues with the weather, but most appear to be here. Notre Dame OT signee Will Black is repping at right tackle for the East during an early install period. On3’s No. 2 overall 2025 prospect has traditionally played LT and is most comfortable there, but looks quick in his pass set at RT.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

West Practice: Offensive linemen stand out physically

01/07/2025 10:13:00 AM

West Practice getting underway at Trinity University. This is an extremely impressive group of offensive linemen here at West practice. Andrew Babalola (Michigan), Dramodd Odoms (SMU), Ryan Fodje (Oklahoma), Jack Lange (Missouri), Felix Ojo (2026) and Lamont Rogers (Texas A&M) all look the part. — Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

East Practice: Players hitting the field at Alamodome

Players are beginning to trickle out to East practice here at the Alamodome. Ohio State wide receiver signee and On3 five-star Quincy Porter is the first on the field about 20 minutes before things got going.

Players are working their way out and getting warm at the East. Penn State OT signee Malachi Goodman, Clemson DL signee Amare Adams are two who jump out physically. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
