The NCAA Tournament is down to the final 16 teams. And now that the Sweet 16 matchups are set, we officially know the tip-off times for the next stage of the Big Dance.

Games will begin on Thursday, March 27, and continue on Friday, March 28. Four games will be played each day.

More information on the Sweet 16

Despite a relatively tame first couple days of the NCAA Tournament, fans were treated to some theatrics late Sunday night in the Round of 32. Maryland beat Colorado State on a buzzer beater.

And it wasn’t just any buzzer beater, but one that came right after Colorado State had made a go-ahead 3-pointer with just 6.1 seconds left. Sometimes that’s all it takes. So Maryland moved on, setting up a matchup with No. 1 seed Florida in the West Region.

Elsewhere, Auburn will face five-seed Michigan. Duke will take on either Oregon or Arizona. And finally Houston will take on four-seed Purdue. Those are the matchups for the one seeds.

Other games of interest? How about double-digit-seeded Arkansas, which advanced after upsetting both Kansas and St. John’s.

Bottom line: There are plenty of compelling Sweet 16 matchups set up for the next round of basketball. And after that, we’ll be down to the final eight teams left dancing in the nation. Buckle up.
