College basketball fans across the country have gotten pretty fed up with the amount of time wasted by referees going to the monitor the past few years. The frustrations have boiled up more and more in the past few years. And on Sunday in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Jay Bilas was fed up with the reviews. He called out the review lengths in the Kentucky vs. Illinois and Alabama vs. St. Mary’s game in the second round of the tournament.

Bilas took to his Twitter page to voice his frustrations. And he decided to have a little bit of fun when voicing his complaint. “With all the replay reviews in the Kentucky and Alabama games, I was able to watch the third season of White Lotus without missing a dribble,” the ESPN commentator noted.

The No. 2 seed Alabama Crimson Tide handled No. 7 seed St. Mary’s Gaels 80-66 on Sunday evening in the NCAA Tournament, punching their tickets to the Sweet 16 in the process. The Crimson Tide scored the most points that St. Mary’s has allowed all season long. Alabama also held the Gaels to their lowest field goal percentage all year, and the Tide also outrebounded St. Mary’s.

It was a thorough, complete performance from a team that many brackets across the country had advancing deep in the tourney. The Tide got a balanced scoring effort, with six players pouring in double digits. Clifford Omoruyi was dominant on the inside, stuffing the stat sheet with 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while swatting two blocks.

Alabama will move on to face BYU next week in the Sweet 16. Kentucky took care of business in their matchup against the Illinois Fighting Illini. In advancing to the Sweet 16, they’ll move on to face the Tennessee Volunteers, in a rematch of two of the top teams in the SEC.
