2025 QB Jamarian Ficklin flips commitment from Texas State to Utah
Muskogee (Okla.) three-star quarterback Jamarian Ficklin has flipped his commitment from Texas State to Utah, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
He had been committed to the Bobcats since the Fourth of July.
Ficklin is the nation’s No. 1,152 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 69 quarterback in the class and the No. 21 recruit from the state of Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Ficklin becomes the 20th prospect to commit to Kyle Whittingham‘s 2025 recruiting class at Utah. He is the second quarterback in the group, joining Pasadena (Calif.) Sierra Canyon three-star Wyatt Becker.
The Utes currently have no blue-chip prospects in their class. Three-star linebacker Christian Thatcher ranks No. 481 nationally and headlines the commit list.
