2025 RB Iverson Howard announces his Top 10 schools
Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard junior running back Iverson “Rocket” Howard has made his first cut. The three-star has over two dozen offers and Florida, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, NC State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech have moved to the top of his list.
“The way coaches from these schools always stay in touch is a big reason why they are on this list,” Howard told On3. “From day one, when each of these schools offered me, they have shown a lot of love. I have relationships with every staff, they reach out every week during the season and they always keep in straight up with me. The way they have recruited me means a lot.”
Out of the 10 schools, Howard has visited Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin at least once. He took in games in Happy Valley and Blacksburg this season.
He is eyeing his first trip to the Swamp on Jan. 27 and each visit moving forward will be important.
“I want to decide before my senior season. I enjoyed the recruiting process for a while, but now i am settling down, taking these visits and deciding where I want to take official visits to.

“My plan is to cut my list down again in the spring, take a few official visits, then make my decision.”
It goes back to those relationships for Howard. The No. 28 running back in the country is not looking at just what a school can do for him on the field.
“Who can develop me as a young man on and off the field is very big for me,” Howard said. “These visits will show me a lot. It could change my perspective on schools, so I am ready to get out, keep building the relationships and see the images in my head change of any schools.”
