Cleveland St. Ignatius three-star safety Cody Haddad has decommitted from Wisconsin, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu.

Haddad was pledged to the Badgers since Jan. 17. Since then, he has landed offers from Ohio State, Texas A&M, Michigan State and others.

Haddad is the No. 425 overall prospect and No. 32 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 14 player in Ohio.

The 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back was in Columbus for his third visit to Ohio State this year on March 21. The Buckeyes offered in January and are looking to make a move with the in-state recruit.

“The day went great,” Haddad told Lettermen Row of his first of two OSU visits last month. “It started with meetings and then we got to watch practice, which was insane. It didn’t disappoint at all. I then had more meetings and met with the coaches. I spoke with Coach Day and Coach G(uerrieri), and we just caught up. I had a blast.”

Badgers lose pledge from top-25 class

With Haddad no longer in the fold for Luke Fickell and Co., Wisconsin now has seven commitments in its 2025 recruiting class. The class ranks 23rd in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Headlining the pledge list is a pair of four-stars in Cincinnati Mt. Healthy cornerback Jaimier Scott and Wautoma (Wisc.) offensive tackle Michael Roeske. Scott is a top-300 recruit and the No. 29 CB in the cycle, while Roeske is a top-30 OT and the No. 3 player in Wisconsin.

In total, six states are currently represented in the class. Trenton (N.J.) Lawrenceville three-star EDGE Samuel Lateju is the latest commit to join the fold, as he pledged on March 4. Other top commits in the class include Fredericksburg (Va.) St. Michael three-star safety Remington Moss and Germantown (Wisc.) three-star linebacker Cooper Catalano.
