2025 SEC Basketball Tournament Projection: Bracket, schedule for field if season ended today - March 2

The final week of the regular season is nearly upon us, which means NCAA Tournament projections and designations are being evaluated on a daily basis. First, however, teams must get through their respective conference championship.
For the Southeastern Conference, this year’s SEC Tournament will take place between March 12-16 inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology, he projected 13 SEC teams to receive an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament. However, Lunardi notes that 14 possible programs can make the Big Dance.
However, there will be a few teams whose postseason hopes may rely on winning the conference tournament. With only one loss in conference play this season, Auburn will be the favorite to take home the hardware but there are plenty of teams capable of running away with the crown.
SEC Tournament Projected Bracket and Schedule
The SEC Tournament will see the additions of both Texas and Oklahoma to its ranks, which means the tournament will look slightly different this year.
The top eight teams in the SEC standings at the end of the regular season will receive byes in the conference tournament. Seeds 5 through 8 will receive a single bye and face off against the winners of the first-round games on March 13. The top four teams will receive double byes and immediately advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The teams currently in line to receive a double-bye (seeds 1-4) are Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee in that order. Meanwhile, the teams in line to receive a single bye (seeds 5-8) are Missouri, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Kentucky in that order.
