The final midweek games have been played in the Southeastern Conference. That leaves just one game left for each team this weekend to determine their seeding and the final standings for the 2025 SEC Tournament.

Wednesday featured three games on the slate in the league. In a Top 10 matchup in Tuscaloosa, No. 5 Florida won 99-94 at No. 7 Alabama. Then, in the other two games, there were a pair of road upsets for rated teams, with Ole Miss winning 78-76 over No. 4 Tennessee and Oklahoma winning 96-84 over No. 15 Missouri.

With that, all of the context for byes are set with eight teams being set to play sometime on Wednesday, four more with byes set to play on Thursday, and the four who earned the double-byes set to play on Friday. Some of that, though, can still change within those rounds after this Saturday.

The most notable switch could be the No. 3 seed and the No. 4 seed between Alabama and Tennessee. After both lost yesterday, the Crimson Tide are ahead by a game going into the weekend at 12-5 with the Volunteers at 11-6. However, with ‘Bama playing its finale with in-state rival at Auburn, the No. 1 seed, and the Vols playing their finale against South Carolina, the No. 16 seed, for Senior Day on Rocky Top, one could say it’s likely the two could tie at 12-6. Tennessee has the tiebreaker after last weekend’s game-winning three separated them in Knoxville.

From there, the Longhorns, Sooners, Tigers, and Gamecocks are all locked in from No. 13 through No. 16. Still, the middle eight of the league has a lot to sort with four teams shuffling in the first round and four more shuffling in the second. Games to watch there on Saturday to best determine the final field will be Ole Miss looking to pull another upset in Gainesville, Kentucky playing Mizzou in CoMo in a Top-20 matchup, Mississippi State playing Arkansas in Fayetteville, and Vanderbilt playing Georgia in Athens as several of those teams are directly competing with each other, specifically the Bulldogs, Commodores, Razorbacks, and ‘Dawgs, for slots on Wednesday and Thursday.
