Following the conclusion of this year’s SEC Media Days in Atlanta, the 2025 SEC Preseason Media Poll has officially been released.

Last season, Georgia was projected to finish first in the conference. The Bulldogs finished second behind Texas (who was projected to finish second), but downed the Longhorns in the SEC Championship Game to win their second conference championship in the past three seasons.

The biggest riser from last season’s preseason poll was South Carolina, who was projected to finish 13th. The Gamecocks surprised the conference and compiled a 9-4 (5-3) record, good for T-4th in the SEC.

The biggest falls from last year’s preseason poll were Kentucky and Oklahoma, who finished four spots lower than where they were projected. The ‘Cats were projected to finish 11th in the SEC and finished 15th, while the Sooners were projected to finish eighth and finished T-12th.

This year’s preseason poll has likely been the hardest to craft in recent memory, as the conference is as wide open as it’s ever been.
