2025 Arrion Concepcion decommits from NC State
Charlotte Chambers three-star wide receiver Arrion Concepcion has decommitted from NC State, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder was pledged to the Wolfpack since June 23. He is the younger brother of current NC State WR Kevin Concepcion.
The younger Concepcion is the No. 192 WR and No. 30 player in North Carolina in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,328 prospect overall.
Concepcion was recruited by NC State receivers coach Joker Phillips. The relationship built between the pair helped the Wolfpack land the legacy recruit this summer.
“The bond is great, just how it has always been,” Concepcion told The Wolfpacker in March. “He’s a good wide receivers coach. I can talk to him about anything, hit him up if I need him and stuff like that.”
The likes of Virginia Tech, Miami and Indiana have also offered Concepcion. His decommitment leaves NC State with 17 pledges in its 2025 recruiting class.

Wolfpack lose an in-state piece to 2025 class
NC State now has just one listed receiver in its 2025 class, though it is the highest-ranked prospect in the mix for Dave Doeren and Co. Marshville (N.C.) Forest Hills four-star WR Jerel Bolder committed in June and is the No. 222 recruit and No. 27 WR in the cycle.
Bolder is one of just three in-state commits left in the class. He’s joined by Pittsboro (N.C.) Northwood three-star tight end Gus Ritchey and Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard three-star interior offensive lineman Michael Gibbs.
Louisville Male three-star IOL Isaac Sowells Jr. and Columbus (Ohio) Westland three-star running back Kentrell Rinehart both pledged in July and are top-500 recruits. Earlier this week, the Wolfpack picked up a commitment from JuCo three-star defensive lineman AJ Prim out of Foley, Ala.
Other top commits in the class include: Nashville Antioch three-star offensive tackle Takhyian Whitset, Anderson (S.C.) TL Hanna three-star cornerback Cam Strong, Palm Coast (Fla.) Flagler three-star EDGE Colby Cronk, Columbia (S.C.) Richland Northeast three-star quarterback Will Wilson and Dacula (Ga.) Hebron Christian three-star athlete Gerritt Kemp.
