2026 4-star EDGE Braeden Jones commits to USC

Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel four-star 2026 EDGE Braeden Jones has committed to USC, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Jones chose the Trojans over Ohio State and Notre Dame, along more than 20 other scholarship offers.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder is the No. 134 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 12 EDGE and No. 5 recruit in Illinois.

He visited Los Angeles for the first time this weekend for the Trojans’ game against Penn State, and despite Notre Dame and Ohio State being thought of as the top contenders, he is now part of USC’s loaded 2026 class.

The Trojans’ crop also includes top-50 prospect Xavier Griffin and Brandon Lockhart, along with four-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala and three-stars Ja’Myron Baker, Joshua Holland, Madden Riordan.
