2026 defensive back Traeviss Stevenson commits to Georgia Tech

Quitman (Ga.) Brooks County athlete Traeviss Stevenson has around two dozen offers, but there is only one school that stands out to him. It’s Georgia Tech, an in-state school that offered late in January. Not long after, the Yellow Jackets have now landed his pledge.
”I made my decision a couple of days ago I chose Georgia Tech because it is the best place for me and for the education,” Stevenson told On3. “The coaching staff, the culture and how they practice are other things I love about Georgia Tech.”
Stevenson had more than 20 other schools to consider and look into, but he didn’t need to. He knew where he wanted to be.
”I didn’t commit to Georgia Tech over any other schools because they were the school always in my heart.”

Kobie Jones and Alex Mathis were highly involved with Stevenson and his recruitment. Head coach Brent Key was active too.
”I love how straight forward coach Key is,” Stevenson added.
Stevenson committed to Georgia Tech as a cornerback. He had 76 tackles and five interceptions as a junior in 2024 and is now the first member of the Yellow Jackets’ 2026 recruiting class. After signing five defensive backs last cycle, GT continues to may hay in the secondary, landing in-state talent.
