Katrelle Harmon played up in age this summer with the Northwest Rotary Rebels. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 5.0 points and 3.0 assists while shooting 38.5 percent from three during Nike’s EYBL E16 regular season.

“I can get downhill,” Harmon told On3. “I can make a play, pass, or shoot it, and I have a good handle, but I am looking to get my guys open. I’ll watch a lot of Dejounte Murray, how he can get to his spots, score at each level, and play defense. He’s from where I’m from. I’ve watched him since I was little.”

On3 caught up with Katrelle Harmon after a recent live viewing to discuss the early stages of his recruitment.

Right now, I have offers from Washington, San Francisco, Seattle, and a couple of others,” Harmon said. “I’ve been to some games at U-dub (Washington), I don’t have plans yet to go on any visits coming up.”

Washington: “I know all the coaches over there. I grew up watching them. I’ve been to a lot of the games and some practices over there. It’s still a big deal to get a Washington offer, big to stay home. The guys from the area who ended up going to Washington have all been pretty good. The games there are always packed, and they have a family feel on campus.”

“We’ve heard from Gonzaga and UCLA some too. A couple more have talked to my coaches,” Harmon said. “I grew up watching UNC.”

In Harmon’s Words

“I’m going to be looking at the family feel for these schools, I want to go somewhere that has a good family feel,” Harmon said. “I like to win, and I want to go somewhere who knows how to win and also how to take losses. Playing in a system that shares the ball will be big for me too. The big things will be development and a family feel.”
