2026 No. 1 IOL Lamar Brown sets four official visits
Schools are emerging in the recruitment of Erwinville (La.) University Lab five-star interior offensive lineman Lamar Brown. On Tuesday, he locked in his June visit plans.
Brown told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he’s set official visits to Miami (May 30-June 1), Florida State (June 6-8), Texas A&M (June 13-15) and LSU (June 20-22).
The 6-foot-3.5, 285-pounder is the No. 11 overall prospect and top-ranked interior lineman in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 1 player in Louisiana.
LSU continues to trend for Brown, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Back in October, however, Brown told On3’s Chad Simmons that it was Texas A&M at the top of his recruitment.
“Texas A&M is No. 1 and this game helped them in my recruitment,” Brown said after watching A&M defeat LSU this season. “The people there in College Station show a lot of love. Every coach shows love to me every time we see each other. That is why they are on top. I feel like I’m getting more comfortable every visit I take in College Station.”

Last summer, Brown was eyeing a birthday commitment back in November. That clearly didn’t come to fruition, and now the elite trench monster is taking his time, getting out to campuses and hearing recruiting pitches before coming to a decision.
“I like relationships. A lot of people think it’s about money these days, but I don’t want a college to buy me. I like the relationships. That’s better, in my opinion,” Brown told The Bengal Tiger back in October. “My parents love it. They love experiencing stuff, but they know it’ll be a hard decision when it’s time to commit.”
Scout’s Take on Lamar Brown
When watching Brown compete at the LSU Elite Camp, On3 National Scout got an in-person taste of what makes Brown such a coveted prospect:
“Brown showed why he is one of the most highly coveted prospects in the 2026 class. The frame is fantastic, he will add weight throughout his frame with ease and is one of the best big-man movers for his age I have ever seen with my own eyes. Whether it is on offense or defense, Brown showed why he garners so much attention when he shows up to an event,” Bellaire wrote.
Brown plays as both an offensive and defensive lineman for University Lab in Baton Rouge.
