2027 ATH Wesley Winn commits to Boston College: 'It was a no-brainer'
Bellflower (Calif.) Archbishop Riordan athlete Wesley Winn has been offered by over 40 schools. The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder is just a sophomore, but he was ready to make that call and he has committed to the Boston College Eagles.
“It is early, but I have been thinking about this and I am ready to lock my commitment in,” Wynn told On3. “Bill O’Brien is a great head coach and he and his coaching staff have a combined 86 years of NFL experience on it. They have shown they can get receivers out, I like the offense, they have great academics and it is a great fit for me.”
Winn was just in Chestnut Hill a little over a week ago. He had a great time on campus.
“I met with coach O’Brien, I watched film with coach Will Lawing and I turned the campus. It is a really nice college town and the campus was amazing. The business school is amazing and that is what I want to major in, so that helped with my decision.”
After visiting Arizona State early in January and taking in games at California, Miami, SMU and Washington in the fall, Wynn is excited about his future at Boston College. He believes in the head coach.

“It was really a no-brainer,” Winn said. “Coach O’Brien has great experience and while he has been recruiting me, he made me feel special. When we talked, he talked about how I align with guys he has coached in the past.
“He has coached guys like Julian Edelman, Wes Welker and Danny Amendola, so I am excited to think about what he can do for me.”
Winn also trains with Zay Flowers, a former Boston College wide receiver.
