The recruitment of DeSoto (Texas) wide receiver Ethan Feaster will likely be hotly-contested until the Class of 2027 prospect puts pen to paper.

His offer list already features over 30 Power Four programs. On Tuesday, Alabama officially entered the race for the 6-foot-0.5, 175-pounder with an offer.

Tuscaloosa has been a haven for top wide receivers throughout the years — with Ryan Williams being the first example of that trend continuing under head coach Kalen DeBoer. After signing Williams in the 2024 cycle, the Tide just inked four-stars Derek Meadows and Lotzeir Brooks last month.

While the focus is finally turning fully toward the 2026 cycle, Feaster is a top name to know in 2027 and Bama is looking to get involved in his process. Last weekend at the Battle 7v7 event near Miami, Feaster talked some of his early top schools with On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

“I can say Oregon for sure, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Tennessee, those are the ones that are big,” Feaster said. “I’m going to try and get back out to LSU and Tennessee real soon. Texas for sure. Texas A&M.”

Feaster goes in-depth on some of his early top schools with On3 here.

As a sophomore, Feaster had 57 receptions for 824 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was a top target on a DeSoto roster that finished 14-3 in 2024. The Eagles were upset in the 6A Division II playoffs but still checked in as the No. 47 team in the nation and No. 8 team in Texas, per the On3 Composite Rankings.

Things will continue to pick up in Feaster’s recruitment. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal is the latest to come see the Lone Star State standout who’s beginning to eye his next round of visits.

Feaster is the No. 4 overall prospect and top-ranked WR in the 2027 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
