'23 4-Star Aden Holloway talks Wake Forest and Auburn visits
Aden Holloway is the No. 45 ranked player in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four major recruiting media services. The 6-foot junior helped lead his La Porte (IN) La Lumiere School to the Geico Nationals.
“On the offensive end, I take what the defense gives me,” Holloway told On3. “I shoot the three-ball, try and get my teammates involved. I’ve improved my efficiency this season, and I’m playing better defense.
“I watch a lot of Chris Paul. He is the best floor general in the NBA and does everything you need as a point guard. CP3 has a handle, is great in the mid-range, he is great in the pick and roll. Kyrie Irving, too, is so creative and has the best handle ever.”
After his performance at the Geico Nationals, he picked up an offer from Michigan. The Team CP3 EYBL guard also has another official visit with Tennessee on the Monday after Easter. On3 caught up with Aden Holloway about the two official visits he has been on.
“I have been on official visits to Auburn and Wake Forest. I have the visit with Tennessee set, and I am not sure who else I will visit yet.”

Holloway talks visits
Auburn: “They are in one of the best conferences, the SEC. They let their guards play, giving them a lot of freedom. Coach Bruce Pearl is an amazing coach. On the visit, I learned they are big on family; they all want everyone to eat. They play a lot of guys, like nine to eleven players every game.”
Wake Forest: “They showed so much love there. I love the atmosphere, and I love coach (Steve) Forbes. This year, they had a huge turnaround; it was just crazy and shows how good of a coach he is. I have so much respect for coach Forbes and his staff.”
Holloway’s take
“I want to go to a program with a coach who will coach me through my mistakes and let me play through my mistakes,” Holloway said. “A place that will develop me and help me get better. I want to play against the best in the country, and I want to win.”
On3’s take
Aden Holloway is a fearless point guard. He is very crafty with the ball, able to get to his spots off the bounce, and can create space to get his shot off. While Holloway does not have optimal measurables and is an average athlete, his skill and confidence help him produce. The size will be questioned, and any coach who takes him will have to be ok with a smaller guard, but he has been consistently very good for La Porte (IN) La Lumiere School this season against the highest level competition.
