'24 Jordan Vick goes in-depth on two local ACC schools
Jordan Vick was one of the most explosive players at the Hoop Group’s Southern Jam Fest. The 5-foot-10 guard went for over 20-points in both viewings this weekend.
“I’m pretty fast,” Vick told On3. “I like to shake people up, and I’ll get in the middle and rise up on somebody. I watch a lot of Jordan Poole, he is crafty, and not many people can guard him.”
He averaged 21.0 points and 3.1 steals at Bailey (NC) Southern Nash High for his sophomore season. On3 caught up with Jordan Vick this weekend to talk about the status of his recruitment.
“I would say we hear the most from Wake Forest right now,” Vick said. “This season, I went to Wake Forest and NC State games.”
Vick talks recruitment
Wake Forest: “It was my first trip to a college; I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know their vibe would be that chill. They like how fast I am and talk about my heart, how I’m fearless.”

NC State: “I talked with Coach JJ (Johnson), but he got let go last week. My brother plays football there; they will keep recruiting me. And with him there, I will look into NC State more.”
“We hear from Oregon and Oklahoma State even though they haven’t offered,” Vick said.
Vick’s take
I love when people love me,” Vick said. “I like to have fun, so I will look at how I fit in with the guys who are on the team. I’ll look at whichever environment is most exciting. Both the games and the schools.”
On3’s take
Jordan Vick is a compact guard filled with electricity. While the size is the noticeable question mark, his confidence and explosion more than makeup for that. Vick is a creative scorer with a crafty handle and creative footwork to get to his spots. He will attack the basket and has the burst to dunk in traffic. Despite his size, he is a score-first guard, and there will be some questions on defense. He plays with the utmost confidence and toughness.
