'25 Treyvon Maddox may have called next in South Carolina
Columbia, South Carolina, has been putting out national-level talent for years. After starting his entire freshman season at Columbia (SC) White Knoll High, 6-foot-6 2025, Treyvon Maddox maybe next up from the area.
“I have elite athleticism that shows on the court,” Maddox told On3. “I have been working out a lot since the season ended; my mid-range game is becoming a weapon. I watch a lot of Kevin Durant; he is long, can handle the ball, and is good in the mid-range.”
Maddox is a hyper-athletic wing, already playing above the rim in traffic. He moved to Columbia two years ago, following his dad, Artis Maddox, who was named the head coach at Benedict College in Columbia.
“Basketball in Columbia is great,” Maddox said. “I moved up two years ago, and it is new. But I really like the competition in the city.”
Maddox started 22 varsity games this season. The freshman was his team’s second-leading scorer at 11.0 points and leading rebounder with seven rebounds per game.

“This season was tough as a team, Maddox said. “But I think I showed people some stuff I can do. Lots of dunks, and I gained confidence.”
Playing on Nike’s EYBL this summer with Each 1 Teach 1’s 15u program, he has a vision on his mind. Maddox said, “I am coming for many offers this summer, I don’t have any yet, but they’re coming.”
On3’s take
Treyvon Maddox is a lengthy wing with special natural athleticism. He is an above-the-rim athlete in traffic, hunting put-back dunks. He has a good wing handle, can get downhill, and finish plays in the paint. Maddox is the son of a coach and his frame and build is impressive. The jump shot will have to continue improving and working with his flexibility, but the upside is to become a national-level prospect.
