Plano (Tex.) EDGE Cam Robertson has committed to North Texas, he announced on Twitter Thursday night.

Robertson, the No. 109 EDGE in the 2023 class according to the On3 Consensus, picked the Mean Green over offers from Utah State, Indiana, Colorado and others.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder first picked up an offer from North Texas in February. He took an official visit to Indiana last spring, but opted to stay close to home. North Texas’ campus is less than 45 minutes from Robertson’s hometown of Plano.

While his junior and senior stats are unavailable, Robertson’s numbers from his first two seasons at the high school level are impressive to say the least. In 2018 and 2019, he made 134 combined tackles, including 23 for loss, as well as 20 sacks.

Cam Robertson is the Mean Green’s fifth commit of the 2022 recruiting class and the fourth from the state of Texas.
