3-star CB Braeden Marshall announces top three schools
Lake Mary (Fla.) three-star cornerback Braeden Marshall is committing on July 30. He shared Saturday over social media that he will be choosing between Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Marshall previously announced a top five including the three schools, Pittsburgh and UCF. The 5-foot-10, 180 pound defensive back also included Arkansas, Clemson, Miami, Penn State and Tennessee in his top 10.
North Carolina and Wisconsin received two of Marshall’s official visits last month in addition to Pittsburgh and UCF. Marshall has also taken two unofficial visits to Nebraska. The most recent one came in April.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Marshall has a 16.9% chance to land with the Tar Heels, a 9.1% chance to commit to the Badgers and a 6.2% chance to pledge to the Cornhuskers.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Marshall is ranked as the No. 442 overall prospect and No. 43 cornerback in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also rated as the No. 81 player in Florida.
Additionally, Marshall has an On3 NIL Valuation of $20K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
