3-star EDGE Jack Pyburn decommits from Minnesota
Jacksonville The Bolles School three-star EDGE Jack Pyburn has decommitted from Minnesota, announcing the news Thursday on his Twitter account.
“I would like to thank Coach Fleck and the Minnesota staff for believing in me,” Pyburn wrote in a statement. “I have decided it is in my best interest at this time to Decommit from the University of Minnesota and explore all of my options in the next month and make sure I am making the right decision for me.”
Pyburn commits to Minnesota on June 20 but did not sign during the early signing period.
He received an offer from Miami two days ago. Head coach Mario Cristobal extended the offer.

The Golden Gophers had the No. 52-ranked recruiting class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking before Jack Pyburn’s announcement. After the news, Minnesota dropped to No. 53.
They don’t have any other EDGEs in their class but they do have three defensive lineman and two linebackers in their group. This includes their only two four-star recruits in Shippensburg (Pa.) Shippensburg Area defensive lineman Anthony Smith and Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward defensive lineman Trey Bixby.
