3-star OT Tyler Johnson announces commitment date

Natchitoches (La.) Natchitoches Central three-star offensive tackle Tyler Johnson shared his commitment date on Sunday night. He will be revealing his college decision on Sept. 2.
Johnson is the No. 607 overall prospect and No. 40 offensive tackle in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 25 player in Louisiana.
The 6-foot-6, 300 pound offensive lineman will be choosing among 15 schools. They include Arkansas State, Baylor, Grambling State, Houston, Kansas State, Liberty, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Missouri, Northwestern State, Texas Tech, Tulane and USF.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for Johnson’s commitment. Texas Tech has the highest odds at 56%, while Baylor isn’t far behind at 37%.
