Broomfield (Colo.) three-star quarterback Cole LaCrue announced his top three schools on Wednesday night. They are Colorado, Tulane and Wisconsin.

LaCrue is the No. 1,621 overall prospect and No. 91 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 12 player in Colorado.

On3 rates LaCrue higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, LaCrue is the No. 76 quarterback and No. 10 player in Colorado.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller took an unofficial visit to Wisconsin on Sept. 10 for the Badgers’ game against Washington State. Wisconsin and Tulane do not have any quarterback committed in their 2023 recruiting classes.

Meanwhile, Colorado has a pledge from Stevenson Ranch (Calif.) three-star quarterback Ryan Staub, the No. 1,210 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. He chose the Buffaloes on Jan. 31.

Tulane previously had a commitment from West Des Moines (Iowa) Dowling Catholic three-star quarterback Jaxon Smolik, the No. 826 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. However, he backed off his pledge to the Green Wave on Aug. 11 and joined Penn State‘s 2023 class a day later.

LaCrue has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
