Belleville (Ill.) Althoff Catholic four-star athlete Dierre Hill has taken his visits, seen what he needs to see and is now ready to make his commitment.

The 5’10, 185-pounder will announce his decision between Ole Miss, Oregon, Illinois, Ohio State and Missouri on Friday, May 10, his mother told On3’s Chad Simmons. The announcement will take place at his high school at 2:30 p.m. Central Time.

Hill has been to each school on different occasions, but is fresh off a trip to Eugene earlier this month.

He already has official visits locked in to in-state Illinois the weekend of June 7, and he has also set up a return visit to Oregon the weekend of June 21. Ole Miss and Ohio State are the latest schools to offer him, the latter of which comes after the Buckeyes hired running backs coach Carlos Locklyn away from Oregon. In total, he’s up to 23 offers with Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan, and more all on his list.

Hill is a two-sport standout at the high school level, earning All-State honors in basketball, and he was also named the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior in football.

The 5-foot-11 and 180-pound Hill rushed for 1,700 yards and had 26 total touchdowns during his junior season.

Hill is the No. 140 overall prospect and No. 6 ATH in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Illinois.

Earlier this week, Simmons, as well as On3’s Steve Wiltfong and ScoopDuck.com’s Max Torres, logged predictions in Oregon’s favor in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

In January, Hill visited Eugene for the first time, and the Ducks made a strong impression. He returned in April as well for a second visit, this time to meet Oregon’s new running backs coach.

“What stood out to me was the people, they were amazing and the organization is just on point honestly,” Hill told ScoopDuck. “The coaches were amazing and kept it real with me and it was a great experience for me. Oregon has my interest honestly for sure.”

Hill spent time with head coach Dan Lanning, who he said also showed him a lot.

“Coach Lanning means well. He’s a really great guy with big heart!” Hill added. “He loves his organization, I know this by his actions. He was with us the whole time through all of the stations. That really shows his character!”
