4-star Cyrus Moss visiting Arizona State, not Oregon this weekend
Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star EDGE Cyrus Moss was supposed to be in Oregon for the Ducks game Saturday against Colorado.
There was a change of plans.
Instead of visiting the leader of the Pac-12 North, Moss went in the opposite direction to visit the leader of the Pac-12 South.
Moss was in Tempe, Ariz., for the Arizona State game versus Washington State.
Cyrus Moss is a top target for Oregon
Moss was supposed to be one of multiple top-100 recruits in attendance at Autzen Stadium on Saturday along with Seattle Rainier Beach consensus four-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard four-star EDGE Nyjalik Kelly.
But of the group, On3’s Jeremy Crabtree wrote that Moss was the biggest name planning on visiting.
“Moss is returning to Oregon after a summer official visit that he rated a ‘perfect 10.'” Crabtree said. “At the time, he also talked highly about his relationship with Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal and co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Joe Salave’a.”

Moss is one of the best EDGE rushers in the country
Cyrus Moss slots in at No. 44 in the 2022 On300 rankings and No. 57 in the On3 Consensus. Bishop Gorman is one of the few schools in the country with multiple players in the On300. Moss one of three players in the top 100 with teammates four-star offensive tackle and Oklahoma commit Jake Taylor and four-star safety Zion Branch.
On3’s Director of Recruiting and Rankings Charles Power said Moss is a fluid athlete who moves very well
“(Cyrus Moss is a) tall, angular pass rusher who plays for one of the nation’s top high school programs,” Power said. “Shows quickness off the snap and can run sideline-to-sideline in pursuit. Coordinated enough to drop into coverage. Also has some bend around the edge and quick hands prior to contact. More of a finesse rusher at this point and needs to increase his strength and physicality to hold up against bigger offensive linemen at the next level. Affects plays at the high school level but could stand to improve his finishing ability behind the line of scrimmage.”
