4-star DL Brandon Davis-Swain names top five schools
West Bloomfield (Mich.) four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain is down to five schools in his recruitment, he announced Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.
Among the contenders are Auburn, Colorado, Michigan, Purdue and USC.
Davis-Swain is the No. 184 overall prospect and No. 21 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Michigan.
Davis-Swain previously announced his top 11 schools on Feb. 13.
The Michigan native was also previously committed to Notre Dame, but backed off his pledge to head coach Marcus Freeman and his staff on Dec. 11.
In the fall, Davis-Swain visited the Wolverines, the Fighting Irish and USC. He made his first visit to Colorado in January, where the Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders made a strong impression on him.

“It’s for sure going to make one of my top schools,” Davis-Swain told On3’s Chad Simmons on Feb. 8 about Colorado. “We’re for sure going to go back and visit again.”
“I liked it,” he added. “I saw some of the mountains when I was down there. It was very cool.”
The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder already has one official visit locked in with Purdue for the weekend of June 15, and he told WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader that USC and Lincoln Riley will get one as well.
“Everything was great,” he said after his recent spring practice visit. “The coaches, the weather and the whole vibe was (fire emoji). I’m coming back. Gonna lock in a official visit date soon.”
Davis-Swain has an On3 NIL Valuation of $74K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
