Four-star Norcross (Ga.) defensive lineman Carter Luckie has committed to Georgia, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Saturday.

Luckie, the younger brother of Bulldogs tight end Lawson Luckie, is on his official visit to Athens this weekend. And despite offers from more than 20 Power 4 programs — including Ohio State, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, among others — he will be following in his brother’s footsteps.

Luckie has more familiarity with the in-state program than any other, visiting on numerous occasions both as a family member and a recruit himself. He loves the culture in Athens and sees it as a perfect fit for him.

“The Georgia culture is hard work and grind and that’s what I like,” Luckie told DawgsHQ back in February. “We toured the facilities a bit and then me and coach Scott met and went over some of my film to show me some stuff I can improve on and also some positive things.”

Luckie is the latest addition to another elite Georgia class

He joins a class that already ranks among the best in the country, checking in at No. 5 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Earlier this month, UGA landed a re-commitment from Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 2 overall player in the class.

Six days later, four-star safety Jordan Smith put his name on the commitment list, as did blue-chip wide receiver recruit Ryan Mosley on May 28. In total, the Bulldogs are up to five commitments in the month and could see even more coming out of their first official visit weekend.

As for Luckie, the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder is the No. 233 overall prospect and No. 30 DL in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3, however, is higher on him than the other services. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 233 recruit, No. 16 defensive lineman and No. 28 player in the Peach State.
