4-star DL Domonique Orange starting to narrow focus
On3 Consensus four-star defensive lineman Domonique Orange of North Kansas City, Mo., announced what he is calling his “final four” schools on Friday.
Orange said his final four schools were Texas A&M, Oregon, Ohio State and Iowa State. However, intel indicates several schools on his list are not actively recruiting him and the door remains open for other schools, including the Kansas Jayhawks, to be a factor in his recruitment.
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average, Orange is the No. 40 defensive lineman in the county. On3 ranks Orange as a three-star prospect.
Visits coming soon for Domonique Orange
Domonique Orange has visited Iowa State twice during his recruitment, including for a game earlier this season. He’s being recruited by former Kansas City Rockhurst quarterback and current Iowa State assistant Nathan Scheelhaase.
Orange has been to Kansas a number of times. This includes a visit over the summer after his brother, Kevin Orange, joined the football team as a transfer from Missouri Western. Special teams coordinator Jake Schoonover has been recruiting Orange since the day he arrived in Lawrence last February.

Orange has yet to take any official visits yet during the recruiting process. He should be able to start taking visits now that North Kansas City’s season is over.
The Hornets’ season ended with a 21-6 loss to Platte County last week. NKC finished 4-7 on the season.
North Kansas City is also home to two of the region’s top underclass prospects – four-star DL Edric Hill and four-star EDGE Adepoju Adebawore.
Adebawore ranks with On3 as the No. 52 junior in the country. Adebawore already has offers from Arkansas, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Northwestern and Wisconsin. Hill has offers from 14 schools, including Iowa State, Kansas and Iowa.
