Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler is ready to announce his commitment and will do so on April 22.

The No. 153 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking has held 37 offers for much of his high school career. He’s taken a long list of visits since he began his recruitment in the ninth grade.

Brown-Shuler will choose between his list of 13 programs he announced back on Jan. 1. Those schools are Colorado, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Texas A&M, Virginia and USC.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Clemson as Brown-Shuler’s front-runner. The Tigers have an 84.6% chance of landing the four-star defensive lineman.

Brown-Shuler recently expressed his desire to wrap his recruitment up. He spent three years taking visits, talking with coaches and answering questions about his potential college career.

“I feel like we’ve you’ve been in it as long as I have, it’s just one of those things where I’ve had my fun and I’m kind of just ready to shut it down,” Brown-Shuler told On3 on March 20. “My biggest thing is, I want to focus on my senior season with my guys. I don’t want to be worried about talking to this coach or talking to that coach. I just want to know where I want to go and be done with it.”

Oklahoma: “Todd Bates started my recruitment at Clemson, so me and him have been close since freshman and sophomore year,” Brown-Shuler said.

Georgia: “Coach (Tray) Scott has been there since freshman year,” Brown-Shuler said. “It’s been consistent. It’s Georgia, there’s not much sell. They’re back-to-back national champions. What else do you want them to do more of? Come to your house and say ‘yeah we want you’?”
