4-star DL Jaylen Williams down to four schools
Palatine (Ill.) four-star defensive lineman Jaylen Williams continues to work through his recruitment and is now down to his final four schools.
The 6-foot-5, 238-pounder tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he has narrowed his list down to Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Williams is the No. 278 overall prospect and No. 22 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Illinois.
Texas A&M hosted Williams for his OV in College Station last weekend. He’s in Ann Arbor for his OV with the Wolverines this weekend and is set to see Tennessee (June 14) and Nebraska (June 21) later this month.
Michigan is currently trending for Williams, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Wolverines recruiting insiders EJ Holland and Zach Libby logged picks in favor of U-M back in November.
Williams talks Aggies, Vols and Huskers
Last month, On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong caught up with Williams as he prepared to embark on his summer OV schedule. Williams detailed his interest in three of his four finalists.

A&M: “They’re a school that also shows that I’m high on their board,” Williams said. “Coach Tony (Jerod-Eddie) is building something special over there.”
Tennessee: “They’ve been around for some time so that relationship we built is strong. Coach (Rodney) Gardner and Coach Chop (Levorn Harbin) are some of my favorites out there always checking in on me and my family. Truly some genuine people. I’ve been out to Knoxville twice, why not make it a three-piece.”
Nebraska: “Nebraska man, they’re amazing. They send out the whole staff to see your boy like twice already and it’s amazing! Their fanbase is some of the biggest out there. Always in my comments on my posts on Insta.
“I could go on and on about Nebraska. They’re some of the best out there. Coach (Matt) Rhule is definitely building some special over there.”
