4-star DL Tomuhini Topui visiting USC following Oregon decommitment

Just hours after backing off a commitment to Oregon, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui is on campus at USC visiting the Trojans as spring practice kicks off.
Topui was pledged to the Ducks since October, but opted to come back on the board on Tuesday. USC has been at the forefront of his recruitment and is now trending to land the 6-foot-2, 330-pounder, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Topui has visited USC plenty throughout his process, but is now back on campus alongside a slew of other top recruits in and around the Golden State. The Trojans are in the driver’s seat to land the blue-chipper following picks logged from On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons, among others.
“Growing up, being from LA that’s always been my dream school and stuff,” Topui told ScoopDuck earlier this month. “Especially now with Coach (Shaun) Nua, he’s always been talking to me. It’s down the street, so I might as well just take a couple visits there, see what they’re talking about. Every time I go down there it’s great vibes, picking up family vibes.”
