4-star EDGE Booker Pickett down to five schools
After amassing more than 20 offers, four-star EDGE Booker Pickett of Tampa (Fla.) Wharton High has narrowed his list to five schools:
Remaining on the list for the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder are: Florida State, Ohio State, Miami, Georgia, and South Carolina.
He has yet to take any official visits but did make stops at Ohio State this spring and Florida State this summer.
Pickett discusses finalists
He quickly broke down each of his top five schools:
Florida State: I have felt really strongly about FSU ever since I was little. Me and Fuller have been getting close over the years and I like what they’re building.
Ohio State: Ohio State has always been high on my list. Their plan for me is what makes them stand out and they develop players well up there.
Miami: Coach Taylor plays a big factor in Miami. Being coached under a Hall of Famer who I have the same body type as, he’ll know what it takes for me to make it.
Georgia: Very strong defensive school. I know if I go there I’ll be pushed to be my best and compete with the best in the nation.

South Carolina: They’re on fire right now. I love their scheme and the coaches there. I think taking my OV there will show me a lot more about them.
