Austintown (Ohio) Westerville North four-star EDGE Brian Robinson has set a commitment date of October 4, he announced on social media Sunday evening.

Robinson is the nation’s No. 131 overall prospect and No. 9 edge rusher in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Ohio.

Kentucky is trending to land the talented pass rusher with a 75.9% chance for Robinson’s commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Michigan sits in a distant second in the RPM with a 16.3% chance for Robinson’s pledge.

Multiple expert predictions have been entered for Robinson in favor of the Wildcats, including picks from Oklahoma recruiting insider Josh McCuistion, Michigan recruiting insider EJ Holland and Kentucky insiders Adam Luckett and Nick Roush.

Robinson currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $98,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Robinson announces commitment date

Robinson had this to say in his commitment date announcement on social media:

“This process has been a long, complicated road. And definitely not what I expected when I started this whole thing — but I think it’s made me better, it’s taught me a lot about the kind of people I want around me and it’s made me excited about building a different kind of future. If I have anything to offer to all the kids coming up right behind us AKA the Class of 2025 and beyond, it would be this — a lot of people in this process are going to try to tell you who you are and what you are worth. They are going to try and put you on their timeline and tell you that their opinion is the right one. I’m not gonna lie, it’s tough and sometimes to be honest, it hurts.

“But you have to believe that you know who you are, that you deserve to speak for yourself, that you aren’t replaceable and that you can ask for the things that matter to you. Keep it honest, treat people right and focus on the football — but don’t let anybody take anything away from you. Because this is your choice, your future — the foundation of your life. And if you need advice, reach out to me (and the other ’24 guys that you trust). We gotta support each other because we are all gonna be playing on that same field. See you out there.”
