4-star EDGE Jayden Woods narrows list to 5 schools
Shawnee (Kan.) Mill Valley four-star EDGE Jayden Woods is down to five schools, he announced on social media.
Woods named Florida, Purdue, Wisconsin, Penn State and Tennessee as finalists.
As of now, he has official visits scheduled for UW (May 31), PSU (June 7) and Purdue (June 14).
The 6-foot-3, 228-pound Woods visited State College last month.
“The connection with Coach Barnes and Coach [Torrence] Brown was great the whole visit,” Woods told BWI following his March 12 visit. “I could really see myself playing for them. Talking with Coach [James] Franklin was great too. He actually recruited my dad and was with him at K-State back in the day. Watching number [Abdul Carter] and [Jameial Lyons] pass rush at practice was amazing. I got the chance to talk to [Dani Dennis-Sutton] about hand placement on pass rush, too.”
